The time has come once again for Palm Spring’s biggest events of the year—Coachella. The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival draws tens of thousands of people from all over the world to The Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA. For two consecutive weekends (April 15-17 and April 22-24) music and art lovers get the experience of a lifetime. And even if you weren’t able to snag tickets, you can still enjoy from home.
What to Expect from the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2016
In its 17th year, Coachella continues to top itself from last year’s line-up. This year you can expect performances by Of Monsters and Men, Ellie Goulding, LCD Soundsystem, Silversun Pickups, James Bay, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Calvin Harris, and the highly anticipated reunion of Guns and Roses. And that’s just to name a few! You can find the complete list right here.
Everywhere you turn you’ll be surrounded by interactive artwork and art installations. The main art display of the festival is different every year, moves throughout the Polo Club fields, and is revealed the first weekend of festivities. Last year it featured a caterpillar which then turned into a butterfly the last day of the festival. You can view some of this year’s featured artists right here.
The Coachella Valley Music and Art Festival is also known for their insanely delicious and unique food. From insane ice cream sandwiches and donuts to gourmet cheesy hot dogs and even ramen.
You can preview some of the 2016 featured restaurants right here.
Beginning Friday, April 15th at 3:30 PM PT (6:30 PM ET), you’ll be able to watch the festival from the comfort of your own house on YouTube. There’s also a feature that allow you to pre-select the acts you want to see, and when that time comes, your stream will automatically change over.
