#1 – Festival of Lights Parade
With floats aglow with thousands of Christmas lights, huge balloons a la the Macy’s parade, and local marching bands and celebrities, this is Christmas lights in Coachella Valley at its best. Bring blankets and chairs and come early to get a good spot for what has been named one of the top ten holiday parades in the country!

#2 – WildLights
This Christmas light show in Palm Desert is the perfect kid-friendly event with over 1 million lights to dazzle the eye. Lifesize animal lanterns, illuminated pathways and a tunnel of lights leave much to explore, all to the sounds of holiday music. Kids will also love the large-scale model train and holiday snacks, not to mention animal encounters to educate and enjoy.

#3 – Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony
Christmas lights in Coachella Valley wouldn’t be complete without a Christmas tree lighting. La Quinta hosts this annual event that includes pictures with Santa and rides on a lighted holiday train before culminating in the lighting of the Christmas tree.

#4 – SnowFest
This Christmas light display in Palm Springs is one-stop shopping for all kinds of holiday enjoyment. SnowFest is a daylong event with Cathedral City’s Main Street transformed into Santa’s North Pole. Complete with holiday lights, crafts and snacks, kids will also love the skating rink and snow bubble play while parents peruse the outdoor market. Stay ‘till nightfall to enjoy the tree lighting as well as the 20,000 Candy Cane Drop!
