Today’s high-end dishwashers have many features that are not available on your standard dishwasher. When choosing a high-end dishwasher, here are three things you may want to consider.

While most commercial brand dishwashers use a plastic tub, most high-end models use stainless steel. Stainless steel is less porous than plastic, so it is far less susceptible to staining or absorbing odor. A stainless steel tub can also help in the drying cycle because internal moisture and steam collects on the steel rather than on glasses and dishes resulting in a much faster drying time.

Another popular feature of luxury dishwashers is the automatic detergent dispenser. Unlike the standard detergent dispenser, this can be fill with an entire bottle of liquid detergent for prolonged use. This can be helpful in saving both time and detergent as well as reducing potential mess.

For those who have a hard water problem, many high-end dishwashers include an internal water softener. While hard water is well known for leaving a film on dishes, many people don’t know that it can also negatively impact the effectiveness of detergent.
