- Access the filter according to the model you own.
- Turn the old filter one-quarter turn counterclockwise and pull it out.
- Remove the packaging from the new filter and take off the plastic cap.
- Insert the new filter and turn clockwise until secure inside the manifold.
- Discard the first full bucket of ice produced by the new filter.
- Dispense several cups of water to purge the line and discard the water.
- Press and hold the water filter reset button for 5 seconds to reset the filter indicator.

How to Replace Sub-Zero Push-In Water Filter
Here is how to replace Sub-Zero water filters for the push-in style:
- Pull out the bottom edge of the grille assembly and tilt the grille forward.
- Push the filter cartridge in then pull it out to remove.
- Remove the packaging from the new filter and take off the plastic cap.
- Line up the cartridge so the locking tabs can be inserted into the filter manifold.
- Push the filter in until you hear a click. Tug slightly on the filter cartridge to ensure it is securely in place.
- Press and hold the water filter reset button for 5 seconds to reset the filter indicator.
- Flush the filter using the process described in steps 5 and 6 above.
